History of the World Itself
« Thread started on: Jun 23rd, 2008, 11:36am »

The world was once full. All animals roamed the grassy fields, the hard dirt ground, the icy snow. They lived in harmony, hunting, eating what they needed, never fighting. Until the arrival of the humans. They brought with them the need to fight, the need to kill. They also brought with them the stones that ruined it all. This stones was uncovered by one of there own, while hacking away at the places animals thrived, where species bred and built their families. The box had been dug up while searching for oil. Forests had been torn down, beaten away for the need of there oil. While clearing away rubble and leveling the surfaces, everyone heard the screeching that filled the air, the pounding roars of the forest around them. They stood, fear clenching their throats, breath coming in gasps of horror. Only one man kept digging, unafraid or maybe, maybe something else kept him going. Then it came, the clear noise of metal smashing into metal, a blistering clanging filling the air, along with rising screeches, howls, roars. All workers turned to him, the one digging, the one with the shovel still in hand. There he stood, staring into a gaping hole in front of him, eyes glowing with something other then happiness. He ignored the ever surrounding sounds of angry animals as he leaned into the hole, hands grasping an unseen object, the box of hell. As he lifted it from the earth, creatures of size and of fright stepped out of the jungle and stalked into camp. Tiger first, larger then most, paws pounding down on his ruined home. Next came a n eagle, swooping from the trees, larger then any had seen before. Next came the anaconda, body slithering from the trees, oozing over debris with delicate swiftness. And then a horse, power in every hoof against the earth, easily 18 hands high. They were the protectors, here on earth to ensure no one would find the stones until ready. But they were to late. The stones were not safe any longer, as the man with greed shoved the box open, the lock failing in a time of need. Reaching in he extracted a paper, eyes scanning it, mind registering.

Here lies a power too great to describe.
Whatever clan holds these stones
Connects them together
Will hold ultimate power
With this stone
All others could be commanded to crumble
The world could be made yours
But along with the power to destroy
You hold they power to create
To rebuild upon this earth
Command me, the stones
Connect me, the stones
And I will grant you power

Right as the smile granted his face, it turned into an terrified frown. Above him flapped the eagle, the shadow coating him in black. In front, face to face, stood the tiger. Fright filled his eyes, hands shaking, as he looked into the eyes of the tiger. But from above, with a dive of power, the eagle captured the stones from his grasp, box and all, and flew with all might. Following in tow, the rest of the protectors dashed through the forest. And with a simple realease of talons, the stones dropped into a deep ravaine in the center of the ocean, settling among plants, far from the living. Even if it was not present, the thought was. War began between humans at first, them fighting other nations, and even smaller groups fighting for themselves. In the end they all joined for the fight had truly began. Numbers already weak from war between each other, the fight was no match for the clans of animals fighting together, against the humans, and against each other, for a shot at the stones. Humans died of first, their own weapons back firing against them. This pattern continued among species, weak cold blooded animals dieing from conditions, birds dieing from missiles fired through the air, stabbing into their bodies, crashing them to the ground. Mammals were their longest, their fight strongest. But the tactics of horses prevailed along with the steady plans of wild cats, bodies strong for the fight. Primates where the last species as well, deciding that war had no point. The stood strong in the mountains, all joined after humans had failed. In the end, both horses and cats hunted them down, believing there was trickery in their ways. And that is how the earth became a was zone, horses and cats fighting for the stones. They had been retrieved from the waters by a faithful sea member to the protectors. They carried away, among themselves. hidden in the mountains, only the winners would be able to find it. Many tried, but two of four protectors still rained strong, striking with their godly powers to protect the stones. Only war remains. Come join the fight. Come help your clan. Be the winners. It is your chance to shine. No one knows will win but maybe you can help decide. Maybe you will band with the peacemakers, those cats and horses who have band together in hope of calming down the fight and using the stones for good. Or maybe you will fight with your trustworthy clans and alliances. Who knows. Its all up to you.
